Welcome to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Middle Michigan
(Formerly NAMI Midland County)

We extend a special welcome to all those whose lives or whose loved ones' lives have been affected by mental illness. Our organization seeks to provide a community of support, self-education, outreach, and advocacy for these individuals.

-NAMI Middle Michigan UPCOMING EVENTS-

NAMI Middle Michigan offers a monthly meeting at two locations, Midland and Mt. Pleasant. At each location there are two distinct groups we provide support to on a monthly basis. The meetings take place at the same time but in separate rooms. The first is the NAMI Family Support Group which is a peer led support group for any adult (18+) who are family or friends of a loved one who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. The second is NAMI Connection which is a peer-led support group for adults (18+) living with symptoms of a mental health condition.
For additional information, please reach out via phone or text to (989) 948-3273, or by email to [email protected]. Your mental well-being matters to us and we look forward to fostering a supportive mental health community in the NAMI Middle Michigan serving the counties of: Arenac, Bay, Clare, Gladwin, Gratiot, Isabella, Mecosta, Midland, Osceola, Ogemaw, and Roscommon counties.

If you are interested in learning more about us or about mental health brain disorders and the effects they have on individuals and families, we offer a free 8-week Family-to-Family education course every spring and fall. Our current class is running from February 24, 2026-April 14, 2026 online through Zoom. For questions about our next class, contact Dan Corbat by calling (989) 948-3273 or through email:  [email protected]. There are no costs for the class.

If you are interested in joining one of our monthly support groups, either the Family Support Group or the Peer Connections Support Group, please contact us or simply join a meeting. No sign-up is needed. To the right you will find class dates, times, and locations.
